Why The Nor’easter?
A Nor’easter, by definition, is a coastal storm with strong, persistent winds blowing from the northeast. It is also uniquely New England. It is a defining term of New England. A term that is known from coast to coast and around the world.
A Nor’easter might be a coastal storm, but when one comes roaring up the Atlantic coast, it leaves no part of New England untouched. It slams into the coastlines before making its way to the far-reaching mountains of New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.
Each nor’easter becomes a shared experience.
Thus, the name, The Nor’easter. A Nor’easter connects all New Englanders. Each storm becomes a shared experience. A memory, a feeling, a story, and a connection.
That is the goal of The Nor’easter. To connect New Englanders and those who love New England. To tap into that unique feeling of what it means to be a New Englander, to evoke a memory or help create a new one. To tell the stories of people, seasons, places, and traditions.
But above all, build a community of those who are New England. To create a space for interaction. For discussion. For idea sharing and storytelling. For gathering and experiencing.
So, with that, we welcome you to The Nor’easter. A shared experience that creates community and bonds New Englanders through stories.
